River Trekking in Kourtaliotis River – Preveli Palm Beach

A river-trek day.

We live the amazing experience of walking Kourtaliotis gorge and its river from the sources to Preveli Palm beach. In the summertime, we start our adventure with a refreshing shower in the waterfalls. Walking in the riverbed, we will come across an abandoned olive oil mill, a Venetian bridge, and a forest of Palm trees. We can swim, either in the river or the sea before we continue to visit the Preveli monastery.

What is the procedure: Upon arrival at the designated meeting point we get by Evergreen Tours – vehicle at the starting point of our trek. During the trek we make various stops to enjoy the view, take pictures, rest, or enjoy a picnic. About 4 km, 3 hrs. Grade: Moderate.

Participation Requirements: To participate in this activity, you must have a basic physical condition and know how to swim. What you need to have with you is a pair of athletic shoes that will get wet, a hat, sunglasses, a backpack and a flask, light food (raisins, chocolate, sandwich), a swimming suit, and a towel. Evergreen Tours provides dry bags for transferring the picnic and small valuable objects.
